This agreement clarifies the responsibilities of those employed at Newcareroots Ltd in maintaining the confidentiality of information gathered by Newcareroots Ltd in the course of its operations.

Confidentiality Commitment
All information provided by Customers to staff is given with the expectation that it will be used solely to deliver Care tailored to their needs. Newcareroots Ltd is obligated to ensure that such information remains confidential within the boundaries of the law and is not disclosed without the Customer’s consent.

Access to Confidential Information
In the course of your work at Newcareroots Ltd, you will have access to personal, confidential data concerning the medical or personal affairs of:
• Customers
• Staff of Newcareroots Ltd
• Associated health and care professionals

Duty of Non-Disclosure
Unless acting in accordance with Newcareroots Ltd policy, or following direct instructions from Newcareroots Ltd or the Registered Manager, such information must not be disclosed or discussed, except in the performance of your normal duties. Breaching confidentiality, including the improper sharing of computer data, may result in disciplinary action, dismissal, and potential civil action for damages.

Data Protection Practices
In compliance with Newcareroots Ltd’s UK GDPR and Data Protection Policies, you must ensure that all records—whether on computer screens, computer-generated, or paper—containing staff or Customer data are never left visible to unauthorized individuals.

• Computer screens must be cleared when unattended, and you must log out of systems, removing your password.
• All passwords to Newcareroots Ltd systems must remain confidential.
• Unauthorized use of the Internet or email is prohibited.

Ongoing Obligation
Information concerning Customers or team members is strictly confidential and must not be disclosed to unauthorized persons. This obligation persists indefinitely, during and after your employment at Newcareroots Ltd.

Legal Consequences
Disclosures of confidential or personal data may lead to prosecution under the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.
